India, a super power in the making

Mera Bharat Mahan

India was a land of Maharajas and Maharanis and peasants
Then came Clive from Britain who wanted to be a Maharaja too, so he called himself Lord Clive

He was really ambitious. He wished to become Emperor and he did
Then the Queen of England wanted a piece of the action so India was annexed to the British Empire -a jewel in her crown

Administering this land of Babel was a real pain
There was this guy called Mahatma Gandhi
(If they knew Hindi they would have called him Gandoo)
Whenever the British sneezed, he went into a fast unto death and the nation came to a halt …..
